It emphasised the importance of early years learning and on the benefits quality early education services can bring in school outcomes and in later life, as well as to society as a whole.

Poll on multilingual classrooms - Results

Multilingual classrooms have become a reality in Europe, especially in big cities. The term refers to classrooms in schools where many or even most of the pupils speak another language at home than the language of instruction. It also includes children who grow up speaking dialects or regional languages at home and are confronted with the national standard language for the first time at school.
